Dr. Gaia Francesconi graduated in Dentistry in 1998 and specialized in Orthodontics and Orthopedics Maxillo Facial at the Univ. of Ferrara in 2006 with honors. She has always dedicated herself exclusively to orthodontics with particular aesthetic orthodontics.
From 2000 to 2003 she completed a 3-year clinical and theoretical doctorate in Orthodontics at the Center Orthodontic Reasarch (La Spezia Italy. Prof. Cozzani) and completed a master’s degree in Mbt technique at the University of Siena in 1999.
She attended the first European Invisalign certification in 2001 and soon became one of the first experts of the technique. She was head of the pediatric dentistry department of San Paolo Hospital in Milan from 2005-2006 (director Prof. Thromenger).
Her experience in Invisalign orthodontics and aligners is many years long; in this period she also led numerous training courses and presented scientific articles in Italy and abroad, receiving prestigious awards.
She also attended programs of medical aesthetics and use of perioral fillers program (Sweden and Martina2012).
She is the author of numerous publications on the aligner technique and participated in the first clinical studies on extractive cases with Invisalign.
Dr. Francesconi was AC professor for techniques with invisible aligners and tutor at the school of specialization in orthodontics for the University of Ferrara, Italian academic qualification. She is Dr. Platino for Invisalign teen, Invisalign and Vivera. She treated over 400 patients WITH Invisalign tec.
She is Past President of the Italian Aligners Society and Invisalignl tutor for clinical medical support. She translated the Clin-Check guide and the Invisalign clinical guide (edited by Aligntech) in Italian. She was a member of S.I.D.O. (Italian Society of Orthodontics). She collaborated with Dr. Martin.Beyer of maxillofacial surgery in Ticino (Switzerland) and with Prof. Dvora in Ancona for aesthetic medicine (Juva Milan-New York center).
She has her Dentalnext SA practice in Pambio Noranco near Lugano (Switzerland) where she lives and practices exclusively Orthodontics since 2005.
She was the first doctor to use Invisalign in the Canton of Ticino.
